About Me

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist

Hello friends! Welcome!

I’m Sheri, a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified diabetes care & education specialist in the Bay Area, about an hour south of San Francisco.

Helping everyone to eat more plants is my focus. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, flexitarian, or just struggling to do something, I can help!

As a dietitian for almost 2 decades, (wow, I cannot believe it has been that long!) I have worked in a variety of settings- hospitals, wellness centers, outpatient clinics, retail, and corporate wellness.

Although I have pretty much dabbled in every area of nutrition, I’ve mainly focused on cardiac wellness, diabetes care, and weight management.

Currently, I work full-time in a cardiac & pulmonary wellness center.

For fun, I enjoy developing tasty plant strong recipes and posting my creations on my  blog and Instagram.

My other full time job is raising my two wonderful daughters. Every now and then, they make an appearance on my Instagram too.

Follow me to learn tips for making food nourishing, energizing, and enjoyable in a busy life.

My focus is all encouragement and no deprivation.

Let’s explore what is great for you to eat, not what you should avoid. You’ll find lots of positivity here!  Join me!

With adding more plants to your routine, you can improve:

*Heart health and cholesterol levels

*Blood pressure

*Blood sugar

*Healthier skin, vision, and digestive tract

If you choose to work with me one-on-one, I’ll help you create a highly nutritious and delicious action plan with healthy goals and swaps.

I want to help you find what works for you! Nothing needs to be avoided.

No deprivation. When you really want something, go for it.  Stop obsessing, enjoy it, and move on!

Some facts about me:

*Even though I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, I’ve never enjoyed cold weather. Sunny California is a much better fit for me! I’ve lived in the Bay Area for over 10 years now, it feels like home.

*I attended Loyola University Chicago for both my B.S. in Food, Nutrition, & Dietetics and Dietetic Internship. Go Ramblers!

*I love to run! I ran my first half marathon nine months after my first daughter was born.  It was my way of getting back into shape and managing stress.  I have been half marathon addicted ever since!

Exercise is my favorite way to manage my stress.  What is your favorite way to relieve stress?

*I love coffee and lattes and have to have one or the other every day.  They help me to be more alert and relaxed at the same time!

*I hate bananas!  Yep, even dietitians don’t enjoy all healthy foods.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with bananas and you should eat them if you enjoy them!

My philosophy is you should enjoy what you eat, don’t ever force yourself to eat something you do not like just because you heard you should.

*My daughters and I love our sweet kitty, Daisy!
